Dear Valued Customer, On June 21, 2006, the FCC released “Interim Modifications” to its Universal Service Fund contribution process: FCC ruling 47 CFR Part 54 (www.fcc.gov/Bureaus/Common_Carrier/Orders/2001/fcc01120.doc). This Interim Modification expanded the Universal Service Fund contributor base to include interconnected VoIP providers. Effective October 1st, 2006, billed customers utilizing services from AMP Networks, LLC. d/b/a PressOne, an interconnected VoIP provider, must contribute, as a pass through cost, a percentage of their Interstate and International Usage. This regulatory contribution will be billed for the previous billing period each month and will be noted as a separate line item on the monthly bill. AMP Networks, LLC., does not profit nor benefit in any way from this contribution to the USF. This charge is passed directly to the United States Government.
